Master KG Biography
Master KG, whose real name is Kgaogelo Moagi, is a South African musician, record producer, and DJ best known for his global hit “Jerusalema.” He was born on 31 January 1996 in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province, South Africa. From a young age, he showed a strong interest in music and began experimenting with beats while still in school.
He started his music career by producing songs locally and later signed with Open Mic Productions, a South African record label.
Master KG gained early recognition in 2018 with his debut album Skeleton Move, whose title track became popular for its energetic rhythm and dance style. In 2019, he released “Jerusalema” featuring Nomcebo Zikode. The song became an international sensation, topping charts in several countries and inspiring the worldwide Jerusalema Dance Challenge. Its success earned him numerous awards and made him one of Africa’s most recognized music producers. Master KG is known for blending gospel themes with Afro-house music, creating songs that are both danceable and meaningful.
Through his work, he has played a major role in taking African music to a global audience and continues to be an influential figure in the contemporary music scene.
